Our office is tucked away in the White Field area, specifically at F-C-204 on Vadakkupattu Main Road in Medavakkam. If you know Chennai at all, you know this part of town has grown a lot lately. Eashvaan Exports And Imports Private Limited is basically just a group of us working out of this space to get stuff moved across borders. We deal with the usual export and import tasks that most people find a bit confusing. There are always forms to fill out and ports to call. Being on the second floor helps a bit with the noise from the main road, though you can still hear the traffic during rush hour. We started this because we knew how the trade business worked and wanted to do it our own way. It is a lot of coordination. You have to talk to suppliers, then the shipping agents, and then wait for news. Sometimes things are slow, and other days we can barely keep up with the emails. We don't really do the big corporate meetings or anything. Most of our chats happen over the desks while we’re drinking coffee. We’ve been at this address for a bit now and have gotten used to the rhythm of Medavakkam. It’s a decent place to be based. We just focus on the daily tasks and make sure the cargo doesn't get stuck somewhere it shouldn't be. That’s about it for us.
