Durga Bags

You can find Durga Bags over at No.10/13 in Kasi Chetty Lane. We’re right in the middle of New Fancy Market, which, as anyone around here knows, is always packed with people and carts. It’s a tight squeeze in the lane, but that’s part of the charm of working here. We’ve been in this spot for quite some time. The shop is filled from floor to ceiling with different types of bags. We have everything from small purses to those big heavy-duty bags people use for moving house. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we usually have a couple of fans going full blast. My brother and I run the place mostly. We don’t bother with much decoration; the bags themselves take up all the space anyway. Customers come in looking for something specific, and we usually have to dig through a few piles to find the right color or size they want. The floor is a bit uneven, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it doesn't stop us from doing what we do. We know most of the other shopkeepers on the lane, so there’s always someone to grab a tea with when things are slow. It’s a loud, busy place, but it’s where we belong. We just sell bags and try to make sure they last.
