Working out of Module No. 18 in the MEPZ area in Tambaram means we're in the middle of a lot of industrial noise. Dolmax Exim Chennai Pvt. Ltd. is basically just this space filled with desks and shipping logs. It gets pretty hot in this part of Chennai, especially during the summer months when the fans just move warm air around. We spend a lot of time checking lists and making sure the labels match what's in the crates. There’s no big corporate vibe here, just a few of us trying to keep things organized. The SEZ has its own rules, so we deal with a lot of gates and security checks every single day. It can be a bit of a headache, but you get used to it. We take our lunches together usually, just sitting around talking about whatever is on the news. People think exporting is glamorous or something, but it's mostly just counting things and waiting for trucks to arrive. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit and wait. We’ve been in Phase II for a bit now and know the security guys by name. It’s a practical setup. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. Just a door, some desks, and a lot of work to get through before the sun goes down. We're just trying to do our jobs.
