Dlf Laing O'Rourke

You can find us at 7/6, Mannar Mudhali 1st Street in Chennai. It’s a typical street in this part of Tamil Nadu, narrow and always a bit warm. The Dlf Laing O'Rourke office here is tucked away among other local businesses and houses. We’ve been operating from this spot for quite some time now. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of binders full of regulations and plans. We keep the fans running constantly because the Chennai humidity is no joke. The floor is tiled, which helps keep things a bit cooler. We don't have a big corporate sign, just a small one near the entrance. Most of us speak a mix of English and Tamil while we work. Around lunchtime, the whole street smells like sambar and rice from the nearby kitchens. It’s a nice place to work because it feels like a real neighborhood. We don't put on any acts here; we just come in, do our work, and try to keep everything on schedule. Sometimes the rain gets really heavy and floods the street a bit, but we just carry on as best as we can. It’s a humble setup, but it’s where all our main coordination happens for this region. We usually have a few umbrellas drying near the door during the monsoon season and some extra shoes just in case. It is a busy place but we like the routine.
