Divine Light Architects

Our office is tucked away in the Le Orchard Appartments, specifically on the fourth floor of the Daisy-23 block. Being in Anna Nagar West, especially on South Park Road, means we are right in the heart of things, but since we are up on the fourth floor, we get a little bit of a breeze. It’s a residential building, so it doesn’t feel like a cold office at all. You walk through the main gate, maybe say hello to the security, and head up. Divine Light Architects started here because we liked the feel of the neighborhood. The office itself is basically a converted apartment space. We’ve got drawing tables where a dining set might usually be. It’s a cozy setup. We usually have the windows open if the weather allows it. It’s not a place with glass partitions or fancy receptionists. Usually, one of us just looks up from a computer when someone knocks at No 1. We spend a lot of time looking at site plans and talking to contractors on the phone. Sometimes the lift in the building is a bit slow, so we take the stairs for a bit of exercise. It’s just a normal day-to-day routine here. We work on whatever comes our way, trying to make sense of the sketches we make. The light in the afternoons is quite nice in this part of Anna Nagar. It’s a quiet, steady place to get things done without too much fuss.
