Dinesh Oil Shop

Dinesh Oil Shop is right on Sembudoss Street, which is part of that whole Parry’S Corner madness in Chennai. If you’ve ever been down here, you know it’s crowded, loud, and there’s barely enough room to move on the sidewalk. We’ve got number 78, and we’ve been dealing with oils here for quite some time now. The shop is usually filled with the smell of different oils and the sound of heavy cans being moved around on the floor. It’s a lot of physical labor, and we’re often covered in a bit of grease by the time lunchtime rolls around. We don’t have air conditioning or anything fancy, just a few old fans and the open door to the street. Most of our customers are locals or small businesses who’ve been coming to us for years and years. We spend our time filling containers, weighing things out, and making sure nobody gets skipped in the morning rush. It’s a bit chaotic, but we have our own way of doing things that works for us. You won't find any corporate slogans on our walls, just the price list and maybe an old calendar. We try to keep things honest and give people what they need without any extra talk. When the day is finally over and we pull down the heavy shutters, we’re usually pretty worn out, but that’s just how life is at Parry’S.
