Dilip Baid & Co is situated at No 357 on Mint Street. We are up on the first floor. If you are walking down Mint Street in Sowcarpet, you will find us near the New Jain Temple. That temple is a good way to find your bearings because Mint Street is so long and every part of it looks a bit like the other parts if you aren't paying close attention. Being on the first floor means we are slightly removed from the immediate rush of the pavement, but you still feel the energy of the crowd below. The 600001 area is always moving. The building is old, like many others around here, and it has that specific smell of old paper and dust that you get in these Chennai offices. We don't have a lot of space, but it's enough for what we do. The New Jain Temple brings a lot of people to the area, so there is always something happening outside. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, or the internet acts up, but that is just part of being in this neighborhood. We don't try to make the office look like a corporate showroom. It's just a functional space where we handle our business every day. It gets noisy when the temple has events, but we like being in a place with so much activity around us.
