It is a bit funny being called Delphi Tvs Chennai when we are actually located in Salem. Specifically, we are at Door No 614 in Chettimankurichi. It’s part of the Idappadi area. The shop belongs to Rajamanickam and we’ve been operating out of this spot for a good while. It’s a rural area, so things are a bit different than the big city. We see a lot of tractors and commercial vehicles here. The road outside gets very dusty in the summer months. We keep the doors open to let the air in, even if it means we have to wipe down the counters every hour. It’s a family-run kind of place. We don't have a big marketing budget or a website. Most people just call us on the mobile or stop by when they are passing through Salem. We handle the diesel system parts which is what people around here need for their heavy machinery. The storage area is always full of iron parts and cardboard. Sometimes it feels like we are more of a warehouse than a shop. We usually have lunch together in the back room. It’s quiet work mostly. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around. We just want to make sure the parts are available for the local guys.
