Down in Anna Market, at Th-6, that is where we are. Koyambedu is a place that never really sleeps. If you come by early in the morning, the whole area is buzzing with trucks and people selling all sorts of things. We are right in the middle of all that chaos. Deepika Enterprises is a small operation. We handle a variety of goods, mostly whatever is in demand in the market at the time. The shop isn't much to look at, just a place to store our stock and handle the paperwork. We don't use fancy computers for everything; sometimes a notebook and a pen are just faster. The air in the market is always thick with the smell of vegetables and diesel, but we don't mind. It’s the sound of business. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. Our customers are mostly other traders or people who have been coming to Anna Market since they were kids. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Word of mouth is how people find us. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk with the neighbors. Other days, we don't even have time to eat lunch. That’s just how market life goes. We aren't trying to change the world. We just want to provide what people need and make a living. It’s honest and it keeps us busy every single day.
