We are located way out at L-1 in the Sipcot Industries Park. It is a big area covering Mambakkam and the Pondur A District. Being in an industrial park means everything is on a much larger scale. You see big trucks and huge warehouses everywhere you look. Dana India Pvt. Ltd. has a decent-sized footprint here, and the commute can be a bit of a trek depending on where you are coming from. The gates are always busy with people coming in for their shifts. Inside the building, it is all about the sound of machinery and the hum of the air units. It is not the kind of place where you sit in silence. We wear our safety gear and move around the floor a lot. The sun really beats down on this part of the district, so the break room is usually the most popular spot during lunch hour. We have been here for a while and the routine is pretty set. You get used to the industrial vibe after a few days. It is not like working in a city center with cafes on every corner. Here, we just have the canteen and the rows of other factories. It is a busy environment where things are constantly being moved or assembled. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks and getting things done right. It is a lot of work but that is just how it is.
