We are CUMMULUS CONSULTING SERVICES LLP, and you can find us in Medavakkam. Our workspace is located in the Ragamalika apartment complex, specifically in Phase 3, Flat B27. It is a residential area, so our office feels more like a home than a corporate building. We have set up our computers and desks in the rooms of the apartment. It is a bit unusual to work where people live, but it keeps things relaxed. We don't have to deal with the stiff atmosphere of a big office block. Sometimes you can hear people cooking next door or someone washing their car outside. It’s just the normal sounds of life in Chennai. We’ve got a small kitchen area where we heat up our lunches and a balcony where we keep a few plants that we sometimes remember to water. The work we do involves a lot of sitting and thinking, so having a quiet space like this is helpful. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby with magazines. If someone knocks, one of us just gets up from our desk to see who it is. We try to keep our overhead low and our focus on the tasks at hand. It is a simple way of doing things, and it suits the way we like to work. The commute isn't too bad for those of us living nearby, which is a big plus for our small team.
