We’ve been here in Perambur for a while now, tucked away in the Sri Ambal Flats. If you know the area, we are right near the EB office and just behind the main bus depot. It gets pretty loud with the buses coming in and out, but we’ve gotten used to it. Our office is in G1, a ground floor spot that stays a bit cooler than the upper floors during those hot Chennai afternoons. Creative Designs & Construction isn't some massive corporation with a glass building. It is just a small team of us working on drawings and site plans. Most days, the tables are covered in rolls of paper and half-empty coffee cups from the shop down the street. We spend a lot of time visiting sites, checking on how the walls are going up or if the materials arrived on time. Srinivasa Achari Street is usually crowded, especially in the mornings when everyone is heading to work. We don't have a fancy reception desk or anything. You just walk in and someone will be there at a desk. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait a bit, but that is just how it goes here. We handle the paperwork, the planning, and the actual building work ourselves. It’s a lot of running around between the office and the construction sites, but it keeps us busy. We like being in this part of Chennai. It feels like home to us.
