Classic Springs

Classic Springs is located at No. 2, Sannathi Street in Velachery. It’s a small place, and if you aren’t looking closely, you might walk right past us. Sannathi Street has its own pace, especially with the local shops and residents moving about. We make springs here. It’s manual work mostly, and our hands are usually covered in a bit of grease by noon. The shop isn't fancy at all. We have the machines we need and a few benches where we sit to work. It gets quite warm in Chennai, so we keep the fans going full blast, but it doesn’t help much in the afternoons. We don't have a big corporate team. It’s just a few of us who know how to handle the wire and the tools. People from the neighborhood come to us when they need something specific made or repaired. We don't have any big slogans or goals other than finishing the work on our table. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to take a break and sit outside on the steps. It’s a quiet way to earn a living compared to the big IT parks nearby. We’ve been at this address for a long time and the building has seen better days, but it’s home to us and our tools.
