Sre Xports Ltd. is based at Old No. 17/ A, which is now New No. 6 on Ii Street in Akkeeswarar Colony. It’s in Nagalkeni Chromepet, and let me tell you, the whole old number versus new number thing still confuses the delivery drivers sometimes. We’ve been at this spot for a good while. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so we try not to make too much noise early in the morning. Our office is tucked away, and it’s a pretty simple setup. We have desks, some chairs that aren't the most comfortable, and piles of files that seem to grow every week. Working in export means you're always thinking about time zones. Some of us stay a bit late to talk to people in other countries, and others come in early to get a head start. Chromepet is a busy area, so getting in and out can be a bit of a struggle during rush hour. We just do our bit here, organizing shipments and checking that everything matches up with what the customers asked for. It’s practical work. No one wears suits here; we just wear what’s comfortable for moving around. We like being in Akkeeswarar Colony because it feels like a real community. People stop by to say hello sometimes, even if they aren't doing business with us. We just keep things ticking along as best we can.
