Chrom Pet Clinic

Chrom Pet Clinic is located at No 1 Chromepet, which is a very easy address to remember. We are situated right opposite the entrance to the Madras Institute of Technology ground. Because of the college being right there, we see a lot of students passing by all day long. The clinic itself is quite small and humble. We have a front desk that’s been there since we opened, and a few rooms for consultations. It’s the kind of place where you don’t need an appointment most of the time; you just show up and wait for your turn. The furniture is a bit older, maybe from the nineties, but it is comfortable enough. The noise from the sports ground across the street can be quite loud during the cricket season, but we don't mind it. It makes the day go by faster. We are just a local clinic, nothing more and nothing less. Our walls are a bit bare, maybe with a calendar or a clock hanging up. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who take turns answering the door and helping out. It’s a practical environment where we deal with the usual coughs and scrapes of the neighborhood. We know the shopkeepers on either side of us and we often share a newspaper in the morning. Being at the entrance of Chromepet makes us feel like we are at the heart of the community.
