Chitna Eye Clinic

Our little eye clinic is tucked away in Saligramam, specifically in the State Bank Colony. Being at 4/81, it’s not too hard to find once you get near Avichi School. The street can get a bit crowded with parked scooters, especially during the middle of the day. Inside, we have the usual stuff like the eye charts on the wall and the machines for checking vision. It’s mostly just us doing our jobs day in and day out. We see a lot of people from the colony who’ve been coming here for years. They usually come in because their glasses broke or they can’t see the TV as well as they used to. The lighting in the exam room has to be just right, so we spend a lot of time adjusting the bulbs. Sometimes the fan in the waiting room makes a clicking sound, but nobody seems to mind too much. It’s a quiet place for the most part, except for when the school kids are playing outside. We keep the glasses frames in a glass case by the door. Some are old styles and some are newer. It isn’t like those big shops in the mall; it’s just a local spot for people to get their eyes checked. We usually close up once the sun goes down and the street gets a bit quieter. It’s a steady rhythm we have here in Saligramam, keeping track of prescriptions and frames.
