Chettinaad Design

Chettinaad Design is located on the second floor of the Skandhas building. We’re on Cenotaph Road 1st Street in Alwarpet, quite near the Japanese Consulate. It’s a nice enough area, though parking can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We’ve been working from this office for some time now. We handle a lot of different design tasks, mostly focused on interiors and how spaces feel when you’re actually in them. Our team is small, just a handful of us who like making things look right. We have a lot of catalogs and material samples scattered around the place. It’s not a showroom, just a working office where we figure things out. We don’t really do the whole corporate pitch thing. Usually, people come to us because they’ve seen something we did for someone else. We spend a lot of time talking about colors, textures, and where the furniture should go. It’s practical work. Alwarpet is a good spot for us because it’s easy to visit clients from here. The office has a bit of a lived-in feel, which we don't mind. We’re usually too busy with sketches to worry about keeping everything perfectly tidy. We just focus on the job at hand and try to make sure we're listening to what people actually want for their homes or offices. It's a steady process that keeps us busy throughout the week and we wouldn't have it any other way.
