Chellappa & Co.

Chellappa & Co. is situated over at No.2, Mugappair Road in Mannurpet. It is one of those spots where you can hear the traffic from the main road all day long. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we sit down to handle the daily business. We usually start the morning by sorting through the mail and checking what needs to be done before the heat of the day kicks in. There are a couple of old desks and some chairs that have been around since the beginning. Most of our time is spent on the phone or talking to people who drop by the Mannurpet location for a quick chat. It can get a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock coming in, but we manage to find space. We don't really bother with fancy decorations because we are usually too busy with the actual work. The ceiling fan hums a bit too loudly, and sometimes we have to shout over it. It is a very normal, local operation where everyone knows their role. We take lunch breaks when we can, often just getting something from the shop next door. It is just about showing up, doing the paperwork, and making sure the clients are sorted out without too much fuss. We try to keep the place organized, but with so many files and papers, it is always a bit of a struggle to keep it perfect.
