You can find Chandrus Tuitions over on Luz Church Road in Mylapore. We are located at No 180 T-40 in J Block. It is right near the Vinayaka Temple in the TNHB colony area. The neighborhood has a very traditional feel to it. Our center is a small unit inside the block. It is not like those big coaching centers you see on the main roads. We have just a couple of rooms where we set up for the day. Most of the students are from the surrounding apartments. We have basic wooden furniture and some old fans that squeak a little bit. There is a small balcony where we keep some potted plants that are struggling a bit in the sun. The atmosphere is very informal. Students often arrive a bit early and sit on the steps to talk. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us looking after everything from the cleaning to the actual teaching. The walk from the main road is pleasant because of the trees. Sometimes the cows from the nearby temple area wander onto the street. It is a very typical Chennai scene. Inside, we keep things quiet so everyone can concentrate. We have stacks of paper everywhere and a small desk where we keep our register. It is just a local spot for local kids to come and study after their day is done without any unnecessary pressure.
