Cavis Communications Limited

You can find Cavis Communications over at No. 14 on Jagannathan Road in Nungambakkam. It’s an old part of the city, and our building has that lived-in feel to it. The stairs are a bit narrow and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for us. We handle a lot of communication stuff, which basically means a lot of phone calls and emails all day long. It gets pretty loud in the office when everyone is talking at once. We don't have those fancy open-plan offices you see in magazines. It’s just rooms with desks pushed together. The traffic on Jagannathan Road is always a mess, so most of us try to get in early to beat the rush. There’s a small shop nearby where we get our snacks. We don’t do big presentations or have a mission statement on the wall. We just focus on getting the messages through and making sure the systems are running. Sometimes the printer jams and we all have to take turns trying to fix it. It’s a small team, and we’ve all worked together for a long time. We know each other’s families and what everyone likes for lunch. It’s just a regular job in a busy part of town. We stay late sometimes when things break, but mostly we just stick to our routine.
