Our shop is at No 21/3 on Burkit Road, right across from the Isckon Temple in T Nagar. It’s a very busy part of town, so there is always a lot of energy and noise right outside our front door. You can usually hear the temple bells and the sound of motorcycles zooming past all day. We have a small storefront that is mostly packed with whatever stock we’ve received that week. It’s not the most organized place in the world, as we tend to prioritize getting things moved in and out over making the shelves look pretty. There are usually a few of us running around checking orders or talking to customers who walk in off the street. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and we know the rhythms of Burkit Road pretty well. It gets especially crowded on weekends and festival days, but we just work around it. The office area in the back is where we handle the paperwork, and it’s usually piled high with invoices and delivery notes. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals we talk about; we just focus on making sure the customers get what they came for. It’s a bit hot and cramped sometimes, especially when the afternoon sun hits the windows, but we’re used to it. It’s a real, local business run by real people who are just trying to get the job done every day. We usually close up once the street lights come on.
