Carboundum Universal Limited

We’ve been based out of Parry House for quite some time now, up on the third floor. If you know Moore Street, you know how busy it gets around here. It’s an old building but it works for what we do. Carboundum Universal Limited isn't a new name in this area, and we've seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. Most days we are just busy keeping up with the paperwork and making sure the orders go out where they need to go. It’s mostly just a regular office environment with desks, computers, and a few of us trying to stay organized. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs more than we’d like. It’s part of the charm, I guess. We don't really have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. People come in, we talk about what's needed, and we get back to work. It’s straightforward. Dealing with industrial supplies isn't always the most exciting thing to talk about at a dinner party, but it’s what we know. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers and checking inventory lists. The street outside is always noisy with traffic, but once you get inside and up to our floor, it’s mostly just the sound of typing and the occasional tea break. We just try to keep things moving along without making too much of a fuss about it. That's pretty much us.
