Our office is on the third floor of Pantheon Plaza, which is a pretty well-known building on Pantheon Road in Egmore. We are right near the Commissioner Office, so it’s easy to give people directions. Egmore is always buzzing, especially with all the government buildings and the hospital nearby. Pantheon Plaza itself has been around for a while, and it has that specific feel of a busy commercial hub. We are Caravel Shipping, and we’ve spent many years here dealing with all sorts of maritime services. The third floor stays relatively quiet compared to the noise on the street below, which is nice when we have to concentrate on shipping documents. We have desks piled with folders and walls covered in maps and schedules. It’s a very practical environment. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a sleek office design; we just need a place that works for the daily tasks of shipping. People come in and out all day, and there is usually a lot of talk about port clearances and vessel timings. The traffic on Pantheon Road can be a nightmare during rush hour, so most of us try to get in early. It’s a solid place to work, and being in the middle of Egmore means everything we need is close by. We just do our bit to keep the shipping industry moving from our little spot in the plaza.
