Callidai Motor Works

Callidai Motor Works is situated over at 18/28 on Desika Road. It’s a fairly quiet street most days, which is nice when you’re trying to focus on mechanical things. We have been working out of this space for a good while, and the neighborhood has changed a lot since we first opened the doors. The building itself is nothing too special to look at, just a regular place where we do our daily work. We spend most of our hours surrounded by grease, tools, and different motor parts that need attention. It can get pretty messy when things are busy, but that’s just the nature of the job. We don’t really have a big office or anything like that. Usually, you’ll find us right there on the floor or at the workbench. Most of the locals know where to find us if they need something looked at. Sometimes the rain makes the road a bit muddy, which can be a pain, but we manage. We aren’t big on fancy talk or complicated explanations. If something is broken, we try to see why and then we work on it until it’s right again. It’s a honest way to spend the day, even if your hands are always dirty. We like being on Desika Road because it feels like a real community where everyone knows each other’s business and says hello in the morning.
