Borgwarner Morse Tec Murugappa Pvt. Ltd. is located at Plot No. 70 in the Sidco Industrial Estate. This is out in Kakalur, which is near Thiruvallur. It’s quite a way out from the main Chennai city area, but the commute isn't too bad if you time it right. The estate is huge and has a lot of different companies, but we’ve been at this plot for a while. Our building is a large industrial structure designed for heavy-duty work. Inside, it’s organized into different sections, though it still has that raw factory feel. There is a lot of humming from the ventilation systems and the constant clicking of components being assembled. We have a lot of people working here in shifts, so the place never really stays quiet for long. The canteen is where most of the talk happens during lunch breaks. It’s a busy environment where everyone has a specific task to look after. We don't go in for much decoration; the focus is entirely on the production lines. The surrounding area of Kakalur has grown a lot with more industries moving in lately. It makes the roads a bit more crowded, especially in the mornings when everyone is heading to work. We just stick to our routine and make sure the daily targets are met. It’s a big operation, but at the end of the day, it’s just people and machines doing their thing until it’s time to go.
