Bohra Eye Hospital

You will find us at number 158 on New Military Road in Avadi. We are right across from the Periyar Statue, which is a landmark everyone around here knows well. The traffic out on the road can be quite something, especially in the mornings when people are heading to the camp or work. Inside the hospital, we try to keep things a bit more orderly. We spend our days checking people’s vision and helping them figure out why things are looking blurry. There are always people waiting for cataract checks or getting fitted for new glasses. It gets pretty busy on surgery days, and the waiting room stays full of families. The doctors have been doing this for a long time, and they just get on with the job. We have some old machines for testing eyes, and they still work just fine. The staff knows most of the regular patients by name since they have been coming here for years. It is a bit of an old-fashioned place, maybe not as shiny as the new hospitals in the city center, but it works for the people of Avadi. We have seen a lot of kids get their first pair of glasses here. It is just a practical place for eye care where we focus on getting the vision right for everyone who walks through the door.
