Bindal Industries

Rattan Bazar is a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. We are tucked away in Venkatachalam Lane at number 12/2. It’s Bindal Industries on the board, but most people around here just know us by face. The morning starts with opening up the heavy shutters and sweeping the front step. It's a narrow street, so when a delivery truck comes, everything else kind of stops. We deal with all sorts of industrial supplies. Boxes are stacked nearly to the ceiling in the back. Sometimes it feels like we don’t have enough room, but we manage. You can hear the sounds of the market all day long—people shouting, horns honking, and the general bustle of trade. We’ve been in this spot for years. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but work comes first. Most of our day is spent checking inventory or talking to people who drop by needing something specific for their workshop. We don’t have a fancy reception area. There is just a desk, a few chairs, and a lot of hardware. Lunch is usually brought from home and eaten quickly between customers. It’s a busy life in the bazar, but we like being right in the middle of it. If you walk past the old temple, we are just a few doors down. It’s a simple setup, honestly, but it has served us well for a long time now. We aren't going anywhere anytime soon, as there is always work to be done here.
