Bhagwnadas & Co.

Our office is located at No 46 on Sembudoss Street. Some of the older locals still call it No 65, which can be a bit confusing if you’re trying to find us for the first time. Bhagwnadas & Co. has been part of this street for many years. It’s a narrow road and it stays pretty busy with all kinds of trade and traffic. The building we are in is quite old, with thick walls and high ceilings that keep it somewhat cool even when it’s hot outside. Inside, you’ll find stacks of ledgers and old wooden furniture. We haven't felt the need to modernize the look much because the old ways of working still suit us just fine. There are usually two or three of us here during the day. We spend a lot of time writing things down and talking to people who walk in off the street. It’s a very traditional setup. There is no fancy computer system or sleek glass partitions. We just have our desks and our files. Sometimes the street noise gets loud, but it’s just the sound of the city. We open the doors early in the morning and close up when the street starts to quiet down in the evening. It’s a simple life here on Sembudoss Street, and we’ve gotten quite comfortable with the rhythm of it over the years.
