Banu Creations

Banu Creations is located at 45 Nowroji Road in Chetpet. It’s an older building, which gives it some character, even if the stairs are a bit steep. We make things here. Most of our day is spent working with different fabrics and materials, trying to get the details right. It’s not always easy and sometimes we have to start over if something doesn't look the way it should. The space is filled with scraps of cloth and thread, but that’s just part of the process. We don't have a fancy front desk or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably find one of us with a pair of scissors or sitting at a machine. We started small and we’ve stayed that way because it’s easier to manage. Everyone knows what they are supposed to do. Chetpet is a good area for us since it’s central enough for our suppliers to reach us. We don't really do much advertising. Most people find out about us because they know someone we’ve worked with before. We just focus on the items we are making and try to finish them on time. It’s a simple business, really. No big corporate meetings, just us in our workspace on Nowroji Road, getting through the pile of work we have for the day. Sometimes the light isn't great in the evenings, but we make do with what we have.
