Balasubramani Clinic

Balasubramani Clinic is situated over by the Chennai G.P.O., right near the main road. Because we are so close to the post office and the main thoroughfare, it’s always quite noisy outside with the traffic and the people walking by. The clinic itself is an older style of place. It’s not one of those new glass-fronted buildings. Inside, it’s pretty simple with wooden chairs and a desk where we keep all the patient files. We’ve been here in this part of Chennai for a long time, so we know the area very well. Most of our patients are people who work nearby or live in the older residential parts of the city. We see a lot of the same people coming back year after year. The doctor’s office is small and filled with books and medical supplies. It’s the kind of place where you can just walk in and wait your turn. Sometimes the wait is a bit long because we like to talk to the patients and not just rush them through. We deal with regular health complaints, mostly the kind of stuff that crops up in a busy city like this. It’s a very grounded, no-nonsense kind of clinic. We don’t have any fancy signs or big advertisements. Most people find us because they live nearby or someone told them about us. It’s just a local clinic on a busy Chennai street doing what we do.
