Balaji & Company

Balaji & Company has been operating out of 12, Kuppier Street in Kondithope for quite some time. The street is narrow, as many are around here, so getting large vehicles through can be a bit of a puzzle. We have to coordinate our timings carefully. Our building is old but sturdy. It has that specific smell of an established business—paper, dust, and maybe a bit of floor wax. We spend most of our hours here, surrounded by files and the sound of the ceiling fan. It’s not a quiet place, but it’s our place. The locals know us by name, and we know them. We don’t do much advertising; word of mouth has always been enough for us. Sometimes we have tea brought in from the corner shop while we discuss the day’s work. There’s no big hierarchy here. Everyone just chips in with whatever needs doing, whether it’s answering the phone or hauling a bag of supplies. The walls are covered with old calendars and notes we’ve stuck up over the years. It’s comfortable in a way that only a long-standing office can be. We appreciate the routine. When evening comes and the street lights turn on, we start wrapping things up. It’s a steady life. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just open the doors every morning and see who needs our help. It’s been this way for years and we like it.
