Located at No. 20 Kamala Street in Kumara Kundram, our office is right in the heart of Chrompet. Chennai-44 is our area, and it’s a place where everyone kind of knows each other. We do clearing and shipping work, which involves a lot of documents and talking to people at the port. The office is just a simple room with some desks and a lot of paper folders. It’s not a shiny corporate building. We have the usual stuff like a stapler that jams and a coffee mug that’s always half-full. The street outside can get a bit narrow, so parking is always a bit of a puzzle for visitors. We’ve been here long enough that the neighbors don't mind us much. Most days are spent checking schedules and making sure the customs papers are all in order. It’s a lot of waiting and then a lot of rushing. That’s just the way shipping goes. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything; we just do the work and hope the ships are on time. The salt air from the coast isn't too far away, though you can’t really smell it here. We keep the windows open when the weather is nice, but usually, the AC is struggling against the Chennai heat. If you’re looking for us, Kamala Street is easy to find if you’re coming from the main road. Just look for the number 20 sign on the gate. It is a plain place but functional.
