Axxon Material Science

Out here at Dp-80 in the Tansidco Industrial Estate in Kakkalur, the air always smells like metal and manufacturing. Axxon Material Science is tucked away among all the other units, and it’s a pretty busy spot most of the week. We have our machines running, and the floor is usually covered in bits of material or cooling fluids. It’s a practical setup, nothing for show. We spend our time looking at specs and making sure the materials are behaving the way they should. The industrial estate is a bit out of the way, so it’s mostly just us and the neighboring workshops. We don’t get many random walk-ins, just the regular trucks coming to drop off supplies or pick up what we’ve finished. The walls are a bit stained, and the desk in the corner is piled high with old notebooks and delivery receipts. We eat our lunch quickly and get back to it because the schedule is usually tight. It gets loud when everything is running at once, so we mostly communicate with hand signals or shouting over the noise. It’s hard work, and your back usually aches by five o'clock, but that's just part of the deal when you're working with this kind of stuff. We keep the machines greased and the floors swept as best as we can between shifts to make sure everything stays running throughout the week.
