Christmas Gift Box

The shop is called Christmas Gift Box, and we are tucked away at No. 2 on 10th Street in Venkatachalapathi Nagar. It is in the Krishnamachariar Street Extension area of Alapakkam. It might take a minute to find us if you are not used to these side streets because the layout can be a little confusing for newcomers. We mostly deal with boxes and various items that people use for gifts. It gets especially busy during certain times of the year, but we are here working throughout the months. The space is filled with stacks of cardboard and ribbons and different materials. It isn't a fancy boutique with a big sign; it’s more of a workspace where we put things together. The floor is usually covered in some scraps or tape because there is always something being packed. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us making sure the orders are ready. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit muddy, which can be a hassle, but we manage. We’ve stayed in this Alapakkam spot because it’s quiet enough for us to focus. We don't really have a grand vision or anything like that. We just focus on getting the boxes sorted and making sure they are sturdy enough for whatever someone wants to put inside them. It's honest work and keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
