If you’re looking for us, we’re in T Nagar on Mannar Street. It’s shop number 37 on the second floor of the Shalom Building. It’s a busy neighborhood with lots of shops and people everywhere. Our space is pretty simple. We mostly deal with bags and packaging materials. There are usually stacks of samples piled up against the walls. It’s not the most organized place in Chennai, but we know where everything is. We started out small and we’re still pretty much a small team. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers or checking the quality of the stitching on the bags. Sometimes the lift in the building is slow, so we end up taking the stairs a lot. It’s just how it is. We don't have any fancy brochures. People just come in and ask what we have in stock. We try to be helpful and give them a fair price. We’ve seen a lot of businesses come and go on Mannar Street, but we’ve managed to stick around. It gets really humid in the afternoons, so the fan is always on high. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s not glamorous, but it keeps us busy and we like the people we meet. Being on the second floor of Shalom Building gives us a bit of a view of the street, but mostly we just focus on the bags.
