Being in Sholinganallur means we are near a lot of the big IT hubs, but our office is just a regular place on a normal street. This is a one-person company, so I am the one doing all the daily work. I focus on exports, which means I spend my time coordinating with suppliers and shipping agents. I don’t have a fancy office or a lot of staff helping me out. It’s just a small room where I can keep track of all my documents and orders. I’ve lived and worked in this area for a good while. Anna Street is a familiar place to me. I don't really use any big marketing words or try to pretend I’m a huge corporation. I just want to make sure the export process goes smoothly for every shipment. There is a lot of back and forth with customs and making sure the timing is right for the boats. Sometimes things get delayed, and I have to spend the whole day on the phone fixing it. I don't spend money on advertising or big sales pitches. Most of my business comes from contacts I’ve made over many years. It’s just a simple, honest way to make a living and I enjoy the independence it gives me.
