Assistant Co-Ordinator In Shipping

We are based at No.8/43 on NH-1, specifically on Thondaiman Street in Marai Malai Nagar. It’s a bit of a mouthful of an address, but we’ve been here for quite some time. As an Assistant Co-Ordinator in Shipping, the work is mostly about the details and making sure all the parts of a shipment are moving at the right time. We are right near the highway, so you can always hear the trucks zooming past on NH-1. It’s a constant reminder of the work we do. The office is small and simple. We don't have any corporate art or fancy furniture. It’s just us, some computers, and a lot of logbooks. We spend a lot of time on the phone with port officials and truck drivers. Marai Malai Nagar is a decent place to work, though it can get quite hot in the summer months. We don't really have a big story to tell. We just show up on Thondaiman Street every morning and start working through the pile of paperwork on the desk. It’s a lot of checking and double-checking numbers. If something goes wrong with a shipment, we are the ones who have to sit down and figure out why. It’s just a normal job with normal people. We don't use any big words to describe it. We just coordinate the shipping and try to keep things on track day after day.
