Our office is on valluvar kottam high road in nungambakkam. The address is a bit funny because it’s Old no. 319 but new no. 4. People get lost trying to find us all the time because they look at the wrong numbers on the buildings. It’s a very busy road in Chennai, and the traffic noise is constant. We work on circuit board designs and coordinate with other branches. It’s a lot of technical stuff, but the office itself feels pretty lived-in. We have stacks of diagrams and old boards lying around on the desks. The walls have some scuffs from when we moved the heavy printers in last year. It gets incredibly hot here, so the fans are always on full blast, even when the air conditioning is running. We usually go out for a quick bite at one of the small shops down the street during the afternoon. The tea man comes around twice a day, which is something we all look forward to. It’s a professional environment in terms of the work we do, but we don’t stand on ceremony much. We’ve been in this building for quite a while, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot. It’s a bit cramped with all the equipment, but we make it work. Most of us have been here for years, so we’re more like a small family than just coworkers. It gets the job done for us.
