You can find Asiatic Bearing Co at 151 Thambu Chetty Street in Parrys. Parrys is a very old and crowded part of the city, and Thambu Chetty Street is always full of people and carts moving goods. Our shop has been in this same spot for decades. The walls are lined with old wooden racks that hold thousands of bearings. We’ve got the small ones for fans and the massive ones for industrial equipment. It’s a bit dark inside the shop because the buildings are so close together, but we have plenty of lights over the counters. We spend our days helping mechanics and factory owners find exactly what they need to get their machines running again. We aren't trying to be a modern corporate office. We like the old-school feel of Parrys. It’s where business happens through handshakes and long-term relationships. Sometimes the heat in the afternoon is a bit much, but we have a couple of old ceiling fans that do the trick. We don't put out flyers or anything like that. People know us because we’ve been here since their fathers were running their businesses. We just focus on having the right stock and being here when the doors open at ten. It’s a steady life and we wouldn't want to be anywhere else but right here in the heart of the trade district.
