ASIAN LIGHTING RESOURCES (I) LTD.

We are located out in MEPZ, Tambaram, specifically at Plot No. A30 in Phase II, Zone B. Being in the special economic zone means there’s a lot of security and gates to go through, which can be a bit of a chore every morning when we arrive. Once you're inside, though, it’s a massive area with all kinds of businesses. Asian Lighting Resources is one of the older names in this particular section of the zone. We deal with lighting, as the name suggests. Our floor is usually very bright, which is good because we spend a lot of time looking at small components. It’s a bit of a long commute for most of us, especially with the heavy traffic around Tambaram, but we’re used to it by now. The canteen nearby is where we usually catch up on gossip or just have a quick break. We don't have any fancy mission statements or slogans on the walls. Mostly just safety signs and work schedules. We work shifts, so there's almost always someone in the building. It’s a very industrial feel, lots of metal and concrete everywhere you look. We try to keep our area organized, but when a big shipment comes in, things get a bit chaotic for a day or two. We just handle it. It's a steady kind of life here. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to provide what people need and make sure the quality is okay before things leave the gate. It’s simple work.
