Arvind Varuna Associates

We are located at No 9 Sneha Deepam, on the second floor. It’s on 6th Street in Gopalapuram. Arvind Varuna Associates has been in this building for a bit now. It’s a quiet enough street, which helps when we need to concentrate on the technical drawings. We have a lot of computers and a big printer that occasionally jams, which is always fun. Our day usually starts with checking emails and then spending hours staring at CAD screens. Architecture involves a lot of staring at lines. We try to make sure the measurements are spot on because mistakes on paper become big problems on the job site. We don't have a receptionist or any fancy lobby. People just come up to the second floor and find us at our desks. We talk to clients about their ideas and then we try to turn those ideas into something that a builder can actually follow. Gopalapuram is a good area to work in, and we've gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. It’s mostly just hard work and trying to keep the measurements from being a mess. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm around. We just like to get the work done right and move on to the next project. There’s always a new set of plans to look at or a site meeting to attend. It can be repetitive, but there's a certain satisfaction when a project finally gets finished and everything lines up like it was supposed to.
