We are based out of No. 18A on 14th Street in Jai Nagar, Arumbakkam. This is the spot where we handle all our power-related business. It’s more of an industrial sort of setup than an office. We deal with things like generators or battery backups and various electrical parts. The office itself isn't anything special to look at, just a place to keep our paperwork and the heavier equipment. Most of our time is spent out at client sites where the power needs fixing or some kind of maintenance. Arumbakkam is a crowded area so getting the truck out in the morning can be a bit of a challenge with the traffic and those narrow lanes. We’ve been here for a good while now. Some days are slow and we just clean the equipment, while other days the phone won't stop ringing because of some power issue somewhere in the city. It’s a small team here. We all know each other well and have worked together for years. We don't use any fancy scripts when we talk to people on the phone, we just tell them what’s wrong with their setup and what we can do to fix it. We’ve got a lot of spare parts stacked up in the corner on old metal shelves. It might look a bit messy to some visitors, but we know where every single nut and bolt is kept. Work starts early and usually ends late, but that’s just how it is with power stuff.
