Our shop is at Door No. 113, which is No. 5 on G N Chetty Road in T Nagar. This part of Chennai is always crowded and noisy, but we’ve made a home here. We deal with art and frames, so the place is always covered in a thin layer of sawdust and scraps of wood. We have frames leaning against almost every wall. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we have a lot of orders to finish. The building itself is an older one, and the rooms have high ceilings which helps when we’re working on bigger pieces. We don't have a fancy reception area. You just walk in and you're right in the middle of where the work happens. You might see someone cutting glass or joining corners of a frame. We’ve got a lot of tools hanging on the walls and drawers full of different nails and hooks. Sometimes the traffic on G N Chetty Road is so loud we have to shout a bit to be heard. We like the energy of T Nagar though. It keeps us busy. We mostly just keep our heads down and work on whatever project is on the table that day. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We don't spend much time on the computer, mostly just with our hands and the materials.
