Arkkays

Arkkays is situated at B-73 in the Sipcot Industrial Park. We are out in Irrungattukottai, which is part of the Sriperumbudur area in Kanchipuram. It is a long drive from the main part of Chennai, but being in the industrial park makes sense for the kind of work we do. The facility is quite large and spread out. We have a lot of space for our operations, which is a big change from being in the middle of a crowded city. The roads around SIPCOT are wide but can get very busy with staff buses and freight trucks. Our building is a plain industrial unit. It’s designed for work, not for looking good in photos. Inside, there is a lot of activity throughout the day. We have different sections for different tasks. It can get very humid out here, especially in the afternoons. We have some trees around the perimeter, but mostly it is just concrete and metal. Most of us commute from quite a distance to get here every morning. We don't have a fancy canteen, just a simple place where we sit down for lunch. It is a professional but very grounded atmosphere. We don't use a lot of big words or have complicated rules. We just show up, do our jobs at the park, and head home when the shift is over. It is a steady way of life and we have become a tight-knit group over time.
