Architecture Red

We have been here at Architecture Red for quite a while now, up on the first floor of No 5. Mandaiveli is a busy place most of the time, but 5th Trust Cross Street stays a bit quieter than the main roads. It is just a normal office space where we get our daily work done. Most mornings start with tea and looking over old drawings. We do not have fancy leather chairs or a big reception area with someone waiting. It is just a place for planning and thinking about how buildings should work. People stop by sometimes to ask simple questions or just to see what we are drawing on the big tables. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit narrow, so you really have to watch your step when you come up. Being in this part of town makes it fairly easy for us to visit sites around the neighborhood without much trouble. Sometimes the traffic on the way in is a total mess, but that is just how it goes in Chennai. We mostly focus on practical stuff that makes sense for people. There are always rolls of paper lying around and a few computers that have seen better days. It is not a shiny corporate spot, just a local office where we try to figure out how to make things fit. If you are walking down 5th Trust Cross Street, you might see our sign hanging out there. We keep things pretty simple.
