Architecture Ramanis

Our place is on Damodarmurthy St in Kilpauk, at number 31. We’ve been in this part of Kilpauk for a long time and we really know the area. The office is a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but it works for us. We have all our drafting tools and some computers set up in a way that makes sense after years of doing this. It’s a quiet street for the most part, which is good when you’re trying to figure out a difficult roofline or a foundation issue. We usually have a few different projects going at once, so there are always sketches pinned to the walls. We aren't big on fancy titles or corporate talk. We just like to get into the details of a building and see how it all comes together. Sometimes we spend the whole day out at a site getting our hands dirty, and other days we don’t leave the desk at all. The neighbors know us well enough by now. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who know their way around a blueprint. It’s a steady kind of life. We take the work as it comes and try to do right by the people who hire us. It’s just how we operate here on Damodarmurthy Street. There is always a pot of tea on the stove and someone looking at a screen.
