You can find us on Kilpauk Garden Road, right at New No 183, which used to be Old No 281. That confuses a few people when they first try to visit, but we have been in this spot long enough that most locals know the building. The office is a regular space where we spend a lot of time arguing over where a window should go or how to make a staircase fit better. We are not a massive firm with hundreds of employees. It is just a small group of us who actually enjoy the process of putting a building together on paper before the bricks even arrive. Kilpauk is a nice area, usually quite green, though it gets busy during school hours. We have a lot of old files from projects done years ago tucked away in the back. Usually, a typical day involves a lot of phone calls to contractors and trying to make sense of some site issue that popped up overnight. We do not do anything flashy. We just draw the plans, check the measurements, and try to make sure everything is solid. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is coming up, but mostly we try to keep regular hours. It is a practical setup and it works for us. The tea shop around the corner is where we usually end up when the office gets too stuffy. It is just a normal workplace with normal people.
