Applied Surgicals

Applied Surgicals is located at number 3/22 on Vanier Street in the Saidapet area. We’ve been operating from this small storefront for quite a while now, dealing with various medical and surgical items that local clinics and individuals might need. The street outside is usually full of activity with people going about their daily business in Saidapet. Our space inside is mostly filled with boxes and glass cabinets where we keep the more delicate instruments. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. It can get a bit disorganized during a busy week but we usually get it sorted out by Saturday. We spend a lot of our time talking to people who come in with specific lists from their doctors. It’s a quiet kind of work most of the time, punctuated by the arrival of new stock that we have to unpack and check. The fans on the ceiling hum all day long to keep the place cool since it gets quite hot in this part of town. We don't do much in the way of advertising because word of mouth in the neighborhood seems to work well enough for us. Sometimes we sit on the stools out front during a lull just to catch a bit of a breeze and watch the traffic go by. It’s a straightforward business and we just focus on making sure the supplies are available when someone needs them urgently for their health.
