Appasamy Associates

Our office is at No. 20 in the SBI Officers Colony, located on the first floor. Arumbakkam is a busy area, but being inside the colony makes it feel a bit more like a neighborhood. It’s a residential-style building, so the office has a bit of a homey feel to it. We’ve been here at Appasamy Associates for a while, and we’ve gotten used to the quiet streets inside the colony compared to the chaos of the main road. To get to us, you have to walk up a flight of stairs. The office itself is split into a few rooms with wooden desks and plenty of chairs for everyone. We have a lot of files and boxes stacked up in the corners because there never seems to be enough storage space. The windows look out onto the trees in the colony, which is a nice change from looking at concrete. Most of our work involves a lot of reading and talking on the phone. We usually have a pot of tea going in the small kitchen area. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, though we stay busy enough with the daily paperwork. The nearby Arumbakkam metro station makes it easy for some of the staff to get here, but the parking for cars is a bit tight. We don't have a big sign out front, just a small nameplate. It’s a simple, functional space where we handle our business every day without much drama.
