We've been at No 25 on Swamy Naicken Street for quite a while now. If you know Chindatripet, you know how busy it gets around the market area. That’s where we are, right in the thick of things. It’s a small place but we keep busy with all kinds of printing work. People come in with all sorts of requests, from wedding cards to small business flyers. The machines make a lot of noise throughout the day, but we’re used to it. Sometimes the paper arrives late because of the traffic on the narrow streets, but we manage. My father started this and now I help run things along with a few others. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. It’s just a practical workspace where we get things done. There's always the smell of ink in the air here. We see a lot of regular faces from the neighborhood. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk, other days it’s a rush to finish everything before the sun goes down. We just try to do honest work and make sure the colors look right on whatever we print. If you’re walking past the market, you’ll probably see our sign. It's nothing special to look at from the outside, but we’ve been part of this street for years and plan to stay here as long as we can. We like being part of the local life here in Chindatripet.
